These totes are hand woven using time-honored traditions by indigenous people of Southern Chile. These totes, known as “pilwas" are made using a bromeliad plant known as “ Chupon"  one of nature’s sturdiest materials. It is found locally, avoiding chemicals in its cultivation and production. 
These creations, simple and refined, reflect a respect and care of the planet. Their production allows these artisans to live a sustainable and dignified life through their craft.
