MERCHANT is a company owned by British mother daughter duo, Denise Portmans and Sara Marlowe Hall. MERCHANT began in  2014, in homage to Denise's late mother who was a painter and ceramicist. "Do what you love and love what you do" was her saying, and that is exactly what these two do. Sara who is also an Artist and Denise ex stylist decided to share how they see spaces, their love of design, art, sculpture and objects with others.

Transforming homes, and sharing their vision to you, you can experience it through visiting their stores in West & East Los Angeles, leaving with a one of a kind piece they hope you will keep forever.  Opening their doors, bookings are available to stay in their gorgeous home Merchant House High Desert, sitting on 5 acres of untouched land in the California High Desert.  The house is a showcase of their interior design style stepping into a warm, sculptural space letting your eye take you in every direction. Mixing mid century modern furniture with vintage Moroccan rugs, sculpture and art. Each guest can find something similar in their stores, showcasing all their Artists and Home Goods.
