Tetsuo Kashiwada is Japanese artist based in Los Angeles. Working primarily from photography, he explores environmental change and the relationship between humans and nature. Through themes of distance, intervention, and coexistence, his practice questions how we perceive landscapes and how we position ourselves in relation to the natural world. In recent years, his practice has expanded beyond photography to explore materiality and the relationship between image, object, and space.
